Using your Aetna plan for psychiatric care
Psychiatric visits are covered under your plan's behavioral health (mental health) benefits. Because we're in-network with Aetna, we bill your plan directly, and you pay your plan's in-network copay, coinsurance or deductible.
Meritain Health plans
Many employers use Meritain Health, an Aetna company, to run their health plans. We're in-network with Meritain Health plans too. Meritain plans are designed by each employer, so benefits can differ from a standard Aetna plan. A quick call to the number on your card will confirm your mental health and telehealth benefits.
Plans that may use a different network
Some plans with the Aetna name, such as Aetna Better Health (AHCCCS) and some Medicare Advantage plans, can use different networks. Tell us the exact plan name on your card, and we'll confirm coverage before your first visit.
What Aetna members can see us for
- Child and teen psychiatry for ages 6 and up, with parents involved
- Adult psychiatry, including first-time ADHD evaluations
- Medication management and therapy

- Call the behavioral health or member services number on the back of your Aetna card.
- Ask about outpatient mental health benefits and whether telehealth psychiatry visits are covered.
- Ask about your copay or coinsurance, your deductible, and whether you need a referral or prior authorization.
No insurance, or a plan we don't take?
You can choose self-pay: $325 for the first evaluation and $150–$200 for follow-up visits. Self-pay patients receive a Good Faith Estimate before care begins. See insurance and payment for every plan we accept.

Do you accept Aetna Better Health (AHCCCS)?
Aetna Better Health is a separate AHCCCS (Arizona Medicaid) plan and is not currently on our in-network list. Call us and we'll talk through your options.
